Saturday was my day to go thrifting at a local Estate Sale. The original sale I went to resulted in no great finds, so no money was spent; which isn't a bad thing. But.... on my way through town, I saw another Estate Sale sign "YAY!"; and couldn't resist the temptation to stop. I really wanted to find something. To my pleasure this sale had some wonderful treasures. Too many for my budget but I picked up a few things.
The treasure I'm most proud of is the Vintage Singer Sewing Machine I found for $40. I researched it a bit; and found one that sold on ebay for $76 about a year ago (without the case). One currently listed with "Buy It Now" price of $150 plus $65 shipping. I'm guessing from what I've read that it was manufacturered in the 1960's.
I think I got a GREAT bargain.
I'm not the best photographer; and my full shot was really blurry. So, I've attached the pictures that turned out somewhat decent. If I take a better one later; I'll edit/revise this post.
Hopefully I can make some really cool upcycled, refashioned, things like several of my new friends do. And.... summer is a great time to start since there will be a lot of re-runs on TV.
I can't wait to try it out.
