This is just a quick picture of my very first EVER home grown canteloupe.
The fruit had already split on one end. So, I chopped it off; cleaned and cut the fruit into small portions. The fork marks were the result of a quick taste. Not as sweet as I am used to; but still pretty good. There are several more canteloupe getting ready to be picked. Hopefully I won't wait too long as was almost the case for this one. I'm not sure what caused it to split. Perhaps someone can give me some tips.
